It’s a pretty car that’s for sure. I haven’t really looked at used Corvettes so was $10k a good deal?

That’s like $7k US, it was a fantastic deal. Most up here run between 15-18, and the early ‘70s and late ‘60s are on the other side of $20k... or $30k.. or $40k for well restored ones.
Sure, I have a scruffy BLUE interior and had to redo pretty much the whole suspension, but that’s a Nice Price all day long

NO WAY! I know the previous owner of that specific vette, you don’t live on the Sunshine Coast do you?

Wow this is a small world!!! No, I took a couple ferries over there from Vancouver Island with a friend and a SUV, bought the car and drove it home and the friend drove the SUV loaded with the previous owner’s stash of parts :D
What gave it away, the non standard seat and door panel upholstery?

Very haha! I grew up in the coast so I know most of the cars that have been there and that’s the only blue vette (C3) that I know of there haha.
That sounds like an epic trip! East or West side of the island? Or are we talking south aka Vic?

East side, middle, Qualicum Beach.
We caught the 8:30 ferry out of Nanaimo and I didn’t get home until around 9:30 that night.
Larry was a really nice guy, he seemed pretty sad to see the car go... I should try to dig up his number and tell him it’s got a good home here

I know it very well haha, the only family we have in BC lives in Qualicum Beach. Moreover, Parksvill and Qualicum are the view from my parents house across the straight.
It’s a long ride from Nanaimo, that’s my most dreaded ferry ride ever!
He is a very cool guy and I’m sure he was. He loved the car and tried his best to keep it in good shape. Definitely do!
